Co-founded with Kyra Hall-Gelly, Britain Behind the Mask is a creative project using mask-making, storytelling and visual arts to allow silenced and underprivileged communities to empower people to find their voices and tell their stories.
We also offer paid CPD and training workshops for a variety of settings. All profits go towards providing free workshops to communities who cannot afford them.
In October 2020, we completed our first pilot, offering paid CPD training to Therapists & Counsellors. During these workshops we explored how to empower clients to find their voices using mask-making, storytelling and visual arts. We also explored how, as therapists, we must engage with our contexts. We are now aiming to complete more paid work to enable our first free workshops for silenced communities.
